Fathur/Citra Donates Indonesia's 32nd Gold Medal, Red And White Return To The Top 4
JAKARTA — The gold medal for the Indonesian contingent at the Hanoi 2021 SEA Games continues to grow. The latest gold medal comes from the sport of shooting.
Indonesian shooter Fathur Gustafian added his gold medal after being the best in the mixed team air rifle when he competed at the Ha Noi National Sports Training Center on Wednesday, 18 May 2022.
Fathur, who was paired with Citra Dewi Resti, confirmed himself as a champion after getting the highest points, namely 16. Meanwhile, Singapore and Thailand secured silver and bronze medals, respectively.
"I didn't expect to be able to present the second gold medal again. This gold is for all Indonesian people as well as fathers and mothers, as well as proving to myself," said Fathur.
Previously, Fathur also managed to get a gold medal in the men's 10m air rifle number. This result also enhances the achievements that have been achieved by her lover, Dewi Laila Mubarokah, who fell in the same number in the women's category.
Fathur/Citra's achievement made the shooting sport a total of four gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal. In addition, this is the 32nd gold of the Indonesian contingent in this biennial event.
This result made Indonesia move up to fourth in the standings while shifting Singapore. As of 14.00 WIB, Indonesia has collected a total of 118 medals with details of 32 gold, 45 silver and 41 bronze.
