Dismissal Center Permit, 380 Central Lombok PMI Departed

CENTRAL LOMBOK - A total of 380 Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Central Lombok Regency have been dispatched from January to March 2022.

The Head of the Placement, Manpower Expansion and Transmigration Division of the Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertrans) of Central Lombok Regency, Lalu Syamsul Rizal, revealed that PMI was dispatched again after the permit from the central government was issued.

"They left for Taiwan, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Poland," said Lalu Syamsu in Praya, Wednesday, May 18.

Sending PMI abroad after the COVID-19 case has slid to all countries has been opened, but so far there is no PMI departure for Malaysia, because the recruitment permit is still in process.

Likewise, he continued, with the aim of the State of Saudi Arabia for housewife work (IRT) it is still not because what is opened is a formal one with skills.

"There are no departures for Malaysia yet, although the faucets have been opened by the central government," he said, quoting Antara.

The enthusiasm of Central Lombok residents to go to PMI abroad is quite high, so to prevent illegal sending of CPMI, his party continues to evaluate and collect data strictly on PT PMI sending in Central Lombok.

"We continue to evaluate every month after the recommendations are issued by the service. So that people can be dispatched in accordance with the provisions," he said.

He also hopes that the public will not easily believe in unscrupulous sponsors or tekongs who promise things that are not in accordance with the provisions that can harm the community or the CPMI.

"For people who want to work as PMI, they can come to the Central Lombok Manpower and Transmigration Office to look for information conveyed by these tekong elements," he said.

Meanwhile, the number of PTs sending PMI abroad reached 60 before the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year only 10 PTs have been registered and have branches in Central Lombok.

"There are only 10 PT that have started to be active," he said.
