WE Value Strange The Arrest Of Jumhur Hidayat Et Al To Make Him A Suspect
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE), Ahmad Yani, explained a number of irregularities in the arrest of three of his group's top officials. One of them is the alleged error in the arrest procedure.
"First, we see that there are irregularities in the process called an arrest, in the process of being upgraded to an investigation," Ahmad Yani told reporters, Thursday, October 15.
Another alleged mistake was the procedure for the investigation warrant (Sprindik). Supposedly, Sprindik will only be valid 1X24 hours after being published.
But what happened according to Ahmad Yani was the opposite. The arrest of Syahganda Nainggolan which took place on 12 October at 04.00 WIB. Even though the new sprindik was issued.
"It means that from leaving the sprindik to the arrest, it only takes 4 hours," he said.
Because of this irregularity, Yani questioned the police investigator's procedures for handling cases.
"Our question is from the police report, is there a serious case after the police report? Did you ask a linguist for information? Have you asked a criminal expert?" said Yani.
According to him, irregularities were increasingly visible in the process of arresting Jumhur Hidayat. Yani said there was no arrest warrant.
"He (Jumhur) was taken from his house without an arrest warrant at all. His house was ransacked in such a way, there were things that were taken, I don't know if there was any confiscation," he continued.
Bareskrim Polri previously arrested eight people who were members of the Coalition to Save Indonesia (US). They were secured in Jakarta and Medan, North Sumatra.
Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, mentioned four people who were arrested in Medan, namely, Juliana, Devi, Wahyu Rasari Putri, and Khairi Amri who are the Chairman of US Medan.
Meanwhile those arrested in Jakarta were members of the US Executive Committee, namely Syahganda Nainggolan, Jumhur Hidayat, Anton Permana, and former PKS legislative candidate Kingkin Anida.
