Hillbilly Elegy , Netflix's Three Generations Of Family Conflict

JAKARTA - Last Wednesday, October 14, Netflix released the first trailer for the film Hillbilly Elegy , starring Amy Adams and Glenn Close.

This film tells the story of JD Vance (Gabriel Basso), a student at Yale who considers achieving his goals in the midst of a family crisis forcing him to return home.

Vance does not have a good relationship with his mother, Bev (Amy Adams), a drug addict. However, Vance's memories with his grandmother, Mamaw (Glenn Close) make him want to fix the conflict in his family.

The Hillbilly Elegy trailer shows Vance's hesitation as he witnesses the conflict between Bev and Mamaw. JD Vance was also confused when he had to return home after giving up his dream.

Hillbilly Elegy is directed by Ron Howard and adapted from JD Vance's memoir Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis .

This film stars a number of top actors such as Amy Adams and Glenn Close. Both of them successfully won Oscar nominations for a number of their performances.

Prior to its premiere on Netflix, Hillbilly Elegy will be limited to theaters as their step forward in the Oscar awards.
