Fahri Hamzah: The Job Creation Law Was Adopted From Chinese Communist Capitalism

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament for the 2014-2019 period, Fahri Hamzah, assessed that the process of forming the Job Creation Law adopted the principles of communist capitalism from China.

Fahri's assessment is based on his view that there are new capitalist values that take away individual and association rights or gather in the Job Creation Law, which has resulted in an upheaval of rejection in a number of societies.

"The school of the Job Creation Omnibus Law does not originate from the thoughts of a democratic country like France, this law, the schools of which are Chinese communist capitalism," Fahri said in his statement, Thursday, October 15.

Fahri said, the new Chinese-style capitalism system is more promising than the conservative capitalism model of Amieria and Europe. Because, it must combine capitalism with the democratic system in Indonesia.

"From there it was concluded that we must take a path to follow the economic development pattern of Chinese capitalism which actually does not suit us. China is controlled by a communist system, while Indonesia is controlled by a democratic system," Fahri said.

Furthermore, Fahri questioned for whom the ratification of the Job Creation Law was passed, if it received rejection from the public.

If you look at the response of investors, Fahri said that investors from America and Europe were busy sending letters to the Indonesian government rejecting the Job Creation Law, because it was not considered unfriendly to them.

"Now American and European investors are busy writing letters, this is a mistake and they reject this law. If American and European investors refuse, which investor is this law for?" his smallpox.

He estimates that implementing the rules in the Job Creation Law will be a separate problem for the government in attracting foreign investment to invest in Indonesia.
