Two Defendants In The Jiwasraya Heal Corruption Case, Held Virtual Charges
JAKARTA - Two defendants in the suspected corruption case of PT Jiwasraya, Benny Tjokrosaputro and Heru Hidayat were declared cured of COVID-19. So, they will undergo a trial with an agenda of quitting demands on Thursday, October 15.
"Two defendants Asuransi Jiwasraya Bentjok and Heru are healthy and have been returned to detention and thus are able to resume their trials," said the Public Relations of the Central Jakarta District Court, Bambang Nurcahyo to VOI , Thursday, October 15.

"Given that both of them have just recovered from COVID-19, it was decided to hold a virtual trial," he said.
Originally, the second trial of charges was held on September 24. But because both of them tested positive for COVID-19, it was decided to postpone it.
As for this case they were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 Year 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
Both were also charged with money laundering (TPPU) in the corruption case of financial management and investment funds at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya.
