PDIP Rakernas Officially Closed With 9 External Recommendations

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI) of Struggle, Megawati Soekarnoputri has closed the PDIP I National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Sunday, January 12 afternoon.

Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP, Hasto Kristiyanto, said that the 2020 National Coordination Meeting of the PDIP is an important momentum for the Party to ensure that Pancasila becomes a living ideology and can work in society in realizing the state's promise to its people as set out in the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

The PDIP I National Working Meeting has produced nine external recommendations. The results of the recommendations of the PDIP First National Meeting, namely:

1. The First National Meeting of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle 2020 fully supports the firm stance of the Jokowi-KH Ma'ruf Amin government in an effort to maintain the existence, honor and territorial sovereignty and economic sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia from various actions by any party, including foreign interests.

2. The 2020 National Conference of the PDI Perjuangan recommends the DPP PDI Perjuangan to formulate strategic political steps to formulate a national development direction through an upstream-downstream industrial strategy based on mastery of science and technology by encouraging research and innovation.

"The National Development Direction designed is a way of prosperity that rests on improving the quality of Indonesian human resources so that they become Indonesian people with an independent spirit," said Hasto.

3. The First National Working Meeting of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle 2020 makes all the diversity of food, spices, spices, and all biological wealth, as well as what is contained in the earth, water, sea and natural resources contained therein as a source of independent prosperity for Indonesia through research and innovation .

4. The I PDI Perjuangan Rakernas I 2020 fully supports the main tasks and functions of the National Research and Innovation Agency by focusing on research and innovation activities on flora, fauna, humans, and technology.

"This is in line with the mandate of Law No. 11 of 2019 which has confirmed research as one of the keys to sovereignty, including in the field of defense and security," said Hasto.

According to him, sovereign research is fundamental in carrying out the wheels of development towards a developed industrial country, a country that is able to stand on its own feet.

5. The 2020 National Conference of the PDI Perjuangan recommends that the DPP Party and DPR RI factions fight for changes to the Election Law to return the Indonesian Election back to using a closed list proportional system.

"Increase the parliamentary threshold by at least 5 percent, the implementation of the parliamentary threshold in stages (5 percent of the Indonesian Parliament, 4 percent of the Provincial DPRD and 3 percent of the Regency / City DPRD)," he said.

In addition, changes to district magnitude (3-10 seats for Provincial and Regency / City DPRDs and 3-8 seats for DPR RI) and moderating the conversion of votes to seats with Modified Sainte Lague in order to realize Presidentialism and effective governance, strengthening and simplifying the party system and creating cheap elections.

6. The 2020 National Conference of the PDI Perjuangan emphasized that the 2020 simultaneous regional elections are a momentum to strengthen the institutional mechanism of the party in preparing leaders.

"All candidates for regional heads and deputy regional heads who are promoted by PDI Perjuangan are obliged to carry out the vision and mission of the PDI Perjuangan DPP. All candidates are required to attend the Party School and carry out a winning strategy based on the spirit of mutual cooperation," explained Hasto.

7.PDI Perjuangan I National Meeting 2020 affirms that the Party will make serious efforts to ensure victory in the simultaneous regional elections in 2020 in at least 60 percent of regencies / cities and provinces throughout Indonesia in the context of realizing pro-little, pro-poor-budget regional government. (APBD for the People) as well as an important political foothold for the party to win the PDI-P in the 2024 General Election.

8. The 2020 National Development Plan for PDI Perjuangan affirms the commitment of the PDI Perjuangan to pioneer a national development policy that takes sides with the environment.

"Protecting, caring for and developing environmental sustainability in balance with the entire universe must be carried out in all party policies," said Hasto.

In this regard, the Three Pillars of the Party are obliged to promote spatial planning policies, the green movement, the movement to save water sources, and make the river the front yard to protect the entire watershed area.

All of the Three Pillars of the Party are obliged to encourage the movement to maintain a clean and healthy environment with the awareness to separate household waste in order to assist the processing of renewable and non-renewable waste.
