Thursday Morning, The Rupiah Pushed Back The US Dollar
JAKARTA - The rupiah exchange rate on the spot market opened in the green zone on trading Thursday, October 15. The rupiah opened up 0.22 percent or 32.5 points to the level of Rp14,685 per US dollar.

This morning, the majority of currencies in Asia were observed to strengthen against the US dollar. The South Korean won strengthened 0.07 percent, the Philippine peso strengthened 0.11 percent, the Indian rupee strengthened 0.06 percent, the Malaysian ringgit strengthened 0.02 percent, and the Taiwan dollar strengthened 0.16 percent.
Meanwhile, the Japanese yen weakened 0.07 percent, the Singapore dollar weakened 0.02 percent, the Chinese yuan weakened 0.07 percent, and the Thai bath weakened 0.1 percent.
