It's Been Revealed That The Perpetrators Of The Theft Of Railroad Iron At Selajambe Station, The Perpetrators Claim To Be Sold To Bandung
CIANJUR - Patrol officers from the Sukaluyu Police, Cianjur, West Java, arrested three people who stole iron from the Selajambe Station railroad. From the hands of the perpetrators, the police managed to confiscate evidence in the form of eight iron rods.
Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Doni Hermawan said the arrest of the three perpetrators of the unused rail metal specialist started from officers' suspicions of a truck with an off-island number that crossed the Bandung-Cianjur Highway.
"So the officers tried to follow the speeding truck from Sukaluyu to Bandung. The officers stopped the vehicle carrying the stolen goods in the form of railroad tracks," he said in Cianjur Antara, Tuesday, May 17.
The iron along with the railroad tracks were transported by six perpetrators, three of whom managed to escape and were included in the Cianjur Police's Wanted List (DPO).
The perpetrators with the initials SM, N and H, said that this was the first time they had stolen the iron rails of the 4.5 meters long train tracks along with bearings stored in the Selajambe Station area, but the police were investigating to uncover other cases.
"The perpetrators will be charged with Article 363 paragraph (1) 4 with a threat of 7 years in prison. Meanwhile, the other perpetrators are still being chased by officers," he said.
The police chief appealed to the residents of Cianjur to participate in maintaining the security and comfort of their respective areas and to always be vigilant and report immediately if they found suspicious activity, so that officers in each local police station responded quickly.
