Recess Completed, DPR Holds Plenary Opening Session V 2021-2022
JAKARTA - The House of Representatives (DPR) held the 21st Plenary Meeting at the opening of Session V for the 2021-2022 Session Year at the Nusantara II Building, Tuesday, May 17.
Today's plenary session is listening to the opening speech of the Speaker of the DPR, Puan Maharani. However, on this occasion, Puan did not attend the meeting and the speech was read by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
"With the permission of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, I will read the opening speech for the trial period V 2021-2022 on the pulpit," said Dasco as chairman of the session.
In the speech read by the Speaker of the DPR, which was read by Dasco, Puan welcomed the members of the DPR who had finished carrying out their recess in their respective electoral districts (dapil).
Puan also mentioned about the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri which went smoothly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The fifth trial period will contain the agenda for finalizing the discussion of a number of bills, macroeconomic policies and the main points of fiscal policy for the 2023 FY State Budget," said Dasco reading the speech.
During this trial, the DPR and DPD will prioritize finalizing the bill which is currently under level I discussions.
The DPR leadership hopes that the economy will improve and the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic will be reduced, although it must be anticipated.
Puan also highlighted the achievement of vaccination and the presence of acute hepatitis. As well as the stages of the 2024 General Election.
"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim on behalf of the leadership of the DPR, I hereby announce to all Indonesian people that the trial period V Year 2021-2022 will start from today, Tuesday, May 17, 2022, until July 7, 2022," he concluded.
