AC Milan Defender Theo Hernandez's Story Scored A Goal In A 95-meter Solo Run, Witnessed By The Fruit Of The Heart
JAKARTA - AC Milan full-back, Theo Hernandez chose to remain humble even though his spectacular performance helped his team win 2-0 over Atalanta in Week 37 of the Italian Serie A 2021-2022 on Sunday, 15 May.
One that stole the attention was his goal against Atalanta in the 75th minute. Theo Hernandez made a solo run for 95 meters and then outwitted the opposing goalkeeper.
Although it was clear that he scored with his own efforts, Theo was reluctant. Instead, he said that what happened in the match against Atalanta was not only due to his own efforts, but also because of the hard work of his teammates.
"I started and I think I will continue to move forward. This is an amazing goal, but also because of the hard work of all my team-mates and the fans that made it possible," Theo Hernandez said modestly after the match as quoted by Football Italia.
He also felt great pride because the moment was witnessed directly by his baby from the sidelines.
"I did everything for this team, it was a great night with everyone watching. After a long time, they are very happy and I am very happy to play for Milan," he said.
"I'm also happy because my son is here to see it (the moment of the goal), it's a beautiful night," continued Theo Hernandez happily.
With this victory, AC Milan is getting stronger at the top of the Italian Serie A 2021/2022 standings by collecting a total of 83 points from 37 matches. That number makes AC Milan two points ahead of their city rivals, Inter Milan, who is trailing in second place.
The Red and Black only need to win a draw in their last match in the 2021/2022 Serie A competition to be able to ensure the Scudetto title. For that Theo said that the team must give everything they have for a perfect result against Sassuolo in the last match later.
"We are close to the title, we are only a week away from the Scudetto. We have to give everything and that's it. We are very happy," concluded Theo Hernandez.
