Shin Touched The Lack Of Quality Of U-19 National Team Operations After Matching North Macedonia With No Goals
JAKARTA - The U-19 national team coach drew 0-0 with North Macedonia in a test match in Croatia, Wednesday, October 14. Coach Shin Tae-yong touched on the lack of quality of passes for his foster children.
He said that Primary Arhan and his friends' stamina, mental and physical are better than before.
However, there are still many things that must be improved from the U-19 national team including strength, quality of passes and the ability to find empty space in the opponent's defense.
"We have to fix the existing shortcomings," said Shin as quoted by Antara , Thursday.
However, the South Korean tactician said his team had shown hard work throughout the match.
Shin also mentioned about the field. The coach said the quality of the field at the venue for the NK Uslok Klis Stadium, Split, Croatia, was not good.
"Today the field is not good enough so the players cannot be optimal," said Shin.
A goalless draw versus North Macedonia made the U-19 national team recorded four wins, three draws and three defeats in 10 friendly matches that have been undertaken during the training camp (TC) in Croatia.
In the next friendly match, the U-19 national team will face Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday (20/10)
The U-19 national team has been in Croatia since the end of August 2020. This TC is a preparation for the U-19 Asian Cup which is planned to be held in early 2021 in Uzbekistan.
After the U-19 Asian Cup, the U-19 national team is projected to compete in the 2021 U-20 World Cup which will be held on 20 May-12 June 2021 in Indonesia.
