Officially Joins PDSI, Terawan Will Get An Important Position

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Health (Menkes) Terawan Agus Putranto officially joined the All-Indonesian Doctors Association (PDSI) since last Friday, May 13.

PDSI chairman Brigadier General TNI (Ret.) Jajang Edi Priyanto said Terawan would get an important position. Because, PDSI views Terawan as quite meritorious in the health sector.

"Later, important positions will be prepared at PDSI. Yesterday the declaration was the founder of all of them. Later, he will be a worthy core manager for him, because he is a figure," said Jajang when contacted, Sunday, May 15.

Later, continued Jajang, Terawan will host a welcoming ceremony for new members by PDSI, which has already pocketed the Decree of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights with the number AHU-003638.AH.01.07.2022.

"Yes, later there will be a kind of small salvation, PDSI doesn't have anything yet, if IDI already has various kinds, we don't have member fees yet, what matters is official, just pray together," said Jajang.

Jajang emphasized that his organization will support and facilitate research into Terawan's 'brainwashing' therapy. However, this was done if Terawan joined.

"PDSI will facilitate further research from Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) so that it is perfect so that it becomes the gold standard therapy for stroke cases," said Jajang.

Although PDSI does not yet have the authority to issue a recommendation for a doctor's practice permit, Jajang believes that the DPR will immediately revise the Medical Practice Law (UU) as recently echoed to evaluate the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI).

"We'll just have to wait, Commission IX plans to revise the UUPK in the near future," said the former Staff of the Minister of Health.

Until now, the only professional organization that has this authority is IDI. Regarding Terawan's practice permit, it is still valid until August 5, 2023.

After that, he needed a recommendation to extend his practice permit.

For your information, Terawan was dismissed from IDI membership. The basis for Terawan's dismissal was set out in the MKEK IDI which was held on 8 February.

Terawan is known to have the title of Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.). He is noted to have served as Head of the Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital.
