MAKASSAR - Makassar Polrestabes in South Sulawesi will immediately stage a reconstruction of the shooting case against the Makassar Transportation Service officer, Najamuddin Sewang. There are 5 suspects in this case.

"For developments, next week there will be a reconstruction of the shooting incident," said Makassar Police Chief Kombes Budhi Haryanto in Makassar, as reported by Antara, Friday, May 13.

Reconstruction of important events to clarify criminal events or legal events that occurred on Sunday, April 3, 2022 after Sewang returned to work on Jalan Danau Tanjung Metro, Makassar.

Haryanto also said that this reconstruction can only be carried out, because previously the investigators had holidays and Eid leave. It is planned that the reconstruction will be attended by the District Attorney's Office and investigators from the Makassar Police.

"The location will be adjusted according to the location. If the reconstruction was during the shooting, it was mentioned that it was temporarily at the TKP. Why is it done next week, because the long Eid al-Fitr holiday ends," he told reporters.

For later reconstruction, he said, it must be carried out together with investigators and the case file, because the incident happened first, so there must be a reconstruction to be included in the evidence file in court.

After several weeks, it was revealed that the motive for the shooting was a love triangle between Sewang, the perpetrator of MIA (Muh Iqbal Asnan) and a woman with the initials R (an employee of the Makassar Transportation Service).

MIA was known to be the head of the Makassar Satpol PP at that time, and was determined to be the mastermind of the shooting that killed the victim. Meanwhile, a police officer with the initials SL was also named as the executor of the shooting, while others played a role in helping in the case.

Regarding the police officers suspected of being involved, he confirmed the legal process.

"We will process even more severe sanctions. We have nothing to cover up, we will act according to existing rules," he said.

Meanwhile, the evidence seized in the form of Rp85 million in a black bag, two motorbikes, CCTV footage, firearms along with 53 38mm and 32mm caliber bullets, three airsoft gun cartridges and one projectile were found in the victim's body.
