Twitter Is Working On Two New Features, A New Way To Respond To Other Users' Tweets

JAKARTA - After the chaos of billionaire Elon Musk buying Twitter, it now seems that the application is working on two new features that can shape the way users respond to tweets.

Cybersecurity researcher and scout for Twitter's new feature, Jane Manchun Wong, tweeted a screenshot of the two counter features being built by the giant with the blue bird logo.

As seen below, Wong's first tweet features a screenshot showing the option to Start Space about this Tweet.

Twitter Spaces itself is a feature where users can host or simply attend live audio chats known as Spaces, a competitor to Clubhouse.

With the new Start Space about Tweets feature, Twitter will give users the ability to host live audio chats about specific tweets.

While Wong didn't get much information about this new feature, it's also unclear whether this option will only be available for someone's tweets or create audio versions of other users' tweets.

Launching Digital Trends, Friday, May 13, then in a second tweet, Wong shared a screenshot of the new feature, namely the new Reply Pin. As the name suggests, this feature allows users to pin specific replies to their tweets at the top of the replies section.

This Reply Pin seems quite useful as users can pin replies from well-known accounts, replies with helpful information, or ones with a very entertaining response, to the top of the reply so other users don't have to scroll around looking for that response.

In fact, the feature may already be familiar to users. Especially if they use YouTube or Instagram, both of which offer some form of that option in a single post.
