Azis Syamsuddin: The General Secretariat Of The House Of Representatives Did Not Print The Draft Law, The Files Were Accessed Through E-Parliament
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI for Political and Security Coordinator (Korpolkam) Azis Syamsuddin said that the Secretariat General of the DPR RI no longer has to print the draft law (UU) in hardcopy form .
He said that sending the draft law in parliament now uses the e-parliament mechanism.
"The parliament has implemented an e-parliament mechanism which we send based on factional groups and factions," said Azis in Jakarta, quoted by Antara , Wednesday, October 14.
In addition, said Azis, if DPR members still want the printed form to be sent to them, they can use other mechanisms in Article 168 of the DPR RI Rules of Procedure.
Azis said that based on Article 168 of the DPR RI Rules of Procedure, members may have direct access to the Secretariat General of the DPR RI to request a detailed hardcopy of the draft copy .
According to Azis, the e-parliament mechanism was launched by the Indonesian Parliament some time ago, to be precise on October 8, 2020.
"To be precise on the 8th, it has launched the e-parliament," said Azis.
With the launch, according to him, there is no longer a requirement for every member to get a printed copy of the draft legislation, but it will be sent via email.
"Everything is sent via e-mail, to each member's e-mail (address) for the member to download or print it privately in their respective rooms," said Azis.
"If you still don't want to, you can ask the Secretariat General Building, 2nd floor," said the Golkar Party politician.
