Reported Missing In Kali Ilame Papua, Nober Palintin Truck Driver Found Dead With Gunshot Wounds
PAPUA - The Ilaga community, Puncak Regency, Papua, this Thursday at around 13.00 WIT found the body of Nober Palintin, a truck driver who was previously reported missing while picking up sand in Kali Ilume, Wako Village, Gome District.
Nober, 31 years old, died from a gunshot wound and was found in Wilipur River, Kimak Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency.
Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri admitted that the victim's body was found by community members who helped make a living for the victim. Currently the victim's body is at the Ilaga Health Center after being brought by the tribal chief and the community who found his body.
When members received reports that a civilian was shot by an unknown person (OTK) around Kali Ilime, Gome District, Wednesday, May 11, his party immediately went to the scene but did not find any victims and signs of violence around the scene.
"Members of the TNI-Polri did a search around the crime scene but were not found. Because it was raining, the members came back and asked the community for help to look for victims," said Fakhiri as quoted by Antara.
When asked which group carried out the shooting, the Papuan Police Chief admitted that he could not confirm who the perpetrator was.
"We are focused on finding victims because at the crime scene they were not found," added Fakhiri.
