Whoops! Because His Pet Pigeon Was 'killed', Mike Tyson Once Hit People And Broke Up With His Girlfriend

JAKARTA - Former boxer Mike Tyson has a crush on pigeons and it has caused a number of uproars with people who don't feel the same way, including his ex-girlfriend.

Tyson has loved pigeons since he was nine years old, claiming they were an escape from the bullying he had to endure as a child for being overweight.

Her love for pigeons was the reason behind one of her relationships falling apart. He told me about how one of his ex-girlfriends tried to get him to eat one of his pet pigeons.

"I was dating this young woman and she said, 'I don't know why you fly those damn birds, you have to eat them'," he told the US radio show Boomer & Carton.

"He happened to take that one pigeon and he cooked it and started eating it. And I couldn't do it. It wasn't the right thing to do. That's why he's not my girlfriend anymore."

This is not the first time Tyson has been involved in a confrontation over his pigeon. When he was young, a bully killed one of his pet pigeons with his bare hands.

"The man tore off my pigeon's head. It was the first thing I loved in my life, the pigeon," Tyson explained.

"It was my first time hitting people. I've loved pigeons since I was nine years old. They were my escape."
