Synopsis Of Horror Sedap Film, Difficulty Fulfilling Parents' Expectations
JAKARTA - The film Ngeri Ngeri Sedap is ready to hit theaters on June 2, 2022. Written and directed by Bene Dion Rajagukguk, Ngeri Ngeri Sedap tells the story of a family relationship with four children, each of whom has problems that are close to the lives of the audience.
The four children are Domu (Boris Bokir), the eldest who does not receive the blessing of love from his parents. Sarma (Gita Bhebhita), the only daughter who can't help but stay in her hometown to look after her parents, Gabe (Lolox) the third child who wanders but is considered not proud of her parents, and Sahat (Indra Jegel), the youngest who closer to other families overseas.
Three of the four siblings prefer to live overseas. In fact, their parents really miss their children to return to their hometown.
Eventually, their parents feigned a fight and wanted a divorce in order to get the attention of their children. "This all happens in the family. Even though we sometimes try to hide it, the fact is that not all families are okay. In fact, family should be the most peaceful place," said Bene in a release received by VOI, Thursday, May 12.
Bene also hopes that the presence of the film can have a positive impact on anyone who is experiencing conflict in their family.
"Hopefully with this film, people realize that family is where people come home, where people come to tell stories, good or bad, family should accept and become friends," he said.
Dipa Andika as the film producer also expressed the same hope. Besides being an entertaining family film, "Ngeri Ngeri Sedap" is also expected to be a reminder that no matter how big the problem, family will always be a place to return to.
"In life, many things change us, but in the end, it is to our families that we all return," said Dipa.
In addition to being wrapped in a fresh and entertaining comedy, the film "Ngeri Ngeri Sedap" will also present the natural beauty around Lake Toba and Holbung Hill. Thus, the film is also expected to introduce the wider natural beauty of North Sumatra to the audience.
