Just Received An Invitation This Afternoon, Dominggus Mandacan Was Unable To Attend The Inauguration Of The Acting Governor Of West Papua
WEST PAPUA - West Papua Governor Dominggus Mandacan said he would not attend the inauguration of the Acting Governor of West Papua on Thursday at the Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Jakarta.
Dominggus admitted that he had just received an invitation letter for the inauguration of the Acting Governor of West Papua on Wednesday afternoon.
When the invitation letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs arrived at the Office of the Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan had already gone to attend the Inauguration of the Prafi Mosque and the laying of the first stone for the construction of the South Manokwari Regent's Office.
"The invitation was received at noon and had left the house, while I have an agenda to meet with the community," he explained when met by the media crew in Manokwari, Wednesday, May 11.
Dominggus Mandacan, who will end his term on Thursday, May 12 with Deputy Governor Mohamad, Lakotani was reluctant to use the flight from Manokwari to Jakarta on Thursday morning to attend the event at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The reason is that the plane from the Manokwari-Jakarta route arrived at noon in Jakarta, while the inauguration process for the Acting Governor of West Papua will take place on Thursday morning.
"If you leave tomorrow morning using Batik Air at 09.00 am WIT from Manokwari, arrive in Jakarta at 13.00 WIB, while the event at the Ministry of Home Affairs is at 09.00 WIB," said the former Regent of Manokwari for two periods.
Although he was unable to attend the inauguration of the Acting Governor of West Papua, according to him, Deputy Governor Mohamad Lakotani together with the Secretary of West Papua Nathaniel Mandacan who is currently in Jakarta will certainly attend the event.
Dominggus said he would pick up the Acting Governor of West Papua when he came to Manokwari in the next few days after being officially sworn in in Jakarta.
