Bogor Regency Government Promises To Immediately Repair Lieutenant Sukarna Ciampea Road, Which Is Badly Damaged

BOGOR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java, through the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (DPUPR) has promised to repair Lieutenant Sukarna's road, Ciampea, in June 2022, considering that its condition is badly damaged.

"The activities will be carried out no later than mid-June 2022," said Bogor Regent Acting Executive Iwan Setiawan as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, May 11.

The road quality improvement work in the form of concrete is carried out with a length of 2.3 kilometers to be precise on the Jalan Warung Borong - Rancabungur, using the 2022 regional budget of Rp. 7.9 billion.

Iwan asked the public to be patient because the project is currently still in the auction stage at the Goods and Services Procurement Service Unit (ULPBJ). The auction process has been going on since April 11, 2022, and will be closed with the signing of the contract for the winning company on May 12, 2022.

With the repair of the road, Iwan hopes to increase the mobility of the surrounding community. This is because the Jalan Warung Borong - Rancabungur section is used by the community as the main access to Ciampea Market.

"In addition, the community also uses this road as an alternative way to avoid traffic jams that often occur on National Roads," he said.

Previously, residents of Bogor Regency on behalf of the Alliance of Community Sues (AMM) held a theatrical action of fishing for fish and planting trees on Jalan Lieutenant Sukarna, Ciampea, Tuesday (10/5).

"We urge the Bogor Regency government to immediately repair the damaged Lt. Sukarna road," said AMM Field Coordinator, Kemas Friman after the theatrical action, Tuesday.

According to him, the action was a form of protest from residents because they were annoyed that the 600-meter road had been left damaged for years. This condition is considered to interfere with the activities of the people passing by, even often causing accidents.

The theatrical action which was carried out in several potholes with puddles of water took place with escort from the ranks of the Police, TNI, and Satpol PP. (KR-MFS)
