Asking For An Explanation Regarding The Polemic On The Procurement Of Curtains, BURT Will Summon The Secretary General Of The DPR Next Tuesday

JAKARTA - The House Household Affairs Agency (BURT) of the DPR will summon the Secretary General of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, regarding the polemic on the procurement of curtains at the Member's Office (RJA) on Tuesday, May 17, next week.

Deputy Chairperson of BURT Johan Budi said that his party wanted to ask for a detailed explanation regarding the curtain procurement tender which has recently been controversial.

"BURT has a supervisory function. Therefore, it will summon the Secretary General of the DPR to explain in detail the polemic regarding the procurement of curtains at RJA," said Johan Budi, Wednesday, May 11.

For example, continued Johan, regarding the rationalization of the budget of Rp. 48 billion for the procurement of curtains. Where, the winner of the tender for the procurement of curtains is the bidder with a high price whose value reaches Rp. 43.5 billion.

"I will ask what has become public criticism, such as the tender process. Why was the company chosen to make the highest bid? Why did the curtain procurement budget reach Rp. 48 billion?," he explained.

The PDIP politician said that BURT did not know the budget for the procurement of curtains worth Rp. 48 billion because the DPR RI did not discuss the budget in units of three, but in the form of a work plan and budget (RKA). Like the RJA maintenance budget in general but not detailed for curtains.

Johan said that BURT had asked the inspectorate to audit related to the procurement of the curtains. This is because the process is still being carried out internally through the mechanism for the procurement of goods and services.

If, according to the results of the explanation from the Secretary General of the House of Representatives in Tuesday's meeting tomorrow, irregularities are found, Johan asserted, BURT will ask for the curtain procurement project to be cancelled. Because, the amount of the budget is not right.

"I personally asked to be canceled because the price is not right," he said.
