Demonstration Against Job Creation Law, Police Holds Border Raids
JAKARTA - The joint military-police apparatus has been on standby at the State Palace to secure a demonstration against the Job Creation Law. Apart from the State Palace, border areas are also guarded.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said that security in the border area aims to anticipate any person who wants to ride the demonstrators.
"(Border areas) We just do the security," Yusri told reporters, Tuesday, October 13.
Security in border areas is not only by alerting personnel from the TNI-Polri. Later, personnel on duty in the border area will raid the suspected parties or people.
"We are still carrying out raids on people whose intention is not to demonstrate but to carry out rioting anarchists, we will carry out raids on everything," said Yusri.
In fact, if later found a party who intends to cause trouble, such as anarcho group, the joint team will immediately secure it. So, the demonstration was peaceful.
"Yes, we anticipate the fear of these anarcho groups causing riots. If we find out we will secure them again. That is our preventive anticipation," he said.
In securing today's action, 12 joint personnel from the TNI-Polri and Provincial Government (Pemprov) were deployed.
As for the plan, several elements, including PA 212, GNPF Ulama, FPI and the HRS Center, will hold an action against the Job Creation Law in front of the Merdeka Palace.
