Andi Arief Democrats Respond To The Call Of KPK Investigators, Ali Fikri: We Have Information That Continues To Be Developed
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the Democratic Party Andi Arief answered the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigation team regarding the case of the inactive North Penajam Paser Regent (PPU) Abdul Gafur Mas'ud (AGM).
Andi Arief was examined as a witness for the suspect Abdul Gafur in the investigation of the alleged bribery case related to the activities of the procurement of goods and services as well as licensing in PPU Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) in 2021-2022.
Based on observations, Andi Arief arrived at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Tuesday at around 14.00 WIB. He is currently being investigated by a team of investigators.
Regarding the recall of witness Andi Arief, Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri said that this was part of the need for the investigative team to continue to complete the case file for suspect Abdul Gafur.
"Because we have information and data that is constantly being developed," said Ali as quoted by Antara.
However, he said, the information and data would be further developed in the trial process.
"Of course later in court all the evidence will be opened so that later it will be analyzed further by the prosecutor's team in their indictment as to what the roles of these parties are," said Ali.
The KPK had originally summoned Andi Arief on Monday. However, he did not attend and confirmed his return on Tuesday. Previously, Andi Arief was also questioned by the KPK on Monday, April 11 for the suspect Abdul Gafur. So far, the KPK has named six suspects for the alleged corruption case.
The five suspects as recipients of bribes are Abdul Gafur Mas'ud, Plt. PPU District Secretary Mulyadi (MI), PPU District Public Works and Spatial Planning Head Edi Hasmoro (EH), PPU District Education, Youth, and Sports Office Head Jusman (JM), and Nur Afifah Balqis (NAB) from the private sector as the General Treasurer of the Balikpapan Democratic Party DPC.
Meanwhile, a suspect as a bribe giver is Achmad Zuhdi alias Yudi (AZ) from the private sector.
