The South Sumatra Police Sends Personnel To Secure The Location Of The Pertamina Gas Pipe Explosion
PALEMBANG - The South Sumatra Regional Police together with the Prabumulih Police have deployed dozens of personnel to secure the location of the Pertamina gas pipeline explosion to prevent more people from becoming victims.
A gas pipe explosion in the operational area of PT Pertamina Limau Field, SKG 1 area in Kemang Tanduk Village, Rambang Kapak Tengah District, Prabumulih City, Monday, May 9 at around 06.15 WIB caused two local residents to become burnt, to prevent more casualties and to investigate "In this case, his party has gone to the scene," said the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police, Kombes Pol. Supriadi, in Palembang, Monday.
The two victims of the gas pipe explosion, the initials K (52) and N (47), are a husband and wife couple who live in Patih Galung Village, West Prabumulih District, Prabumulih City.
The two victims suffered burns to nearly 50 percent of their bodies, currently under the care of the medical team at the Pertamina Prabumulih hospital.
The gas pipe explosion has been handled by Pertamina Prabumulih, it is hoped that such cases will not happen again because it can cause casualties and environmental damage, said the Head of Public Relations.
While previously the Head of Kemang Tanduk Prabumulih Adi Darminto explained that the explosion occurred on Monday, May 9 morning at around 06.15 WIB, when the explosion occurred a strong vibration was felt around his village and shocked the residents so that they scattered out of the house, but none of the residents were victims.
"The explosion injured two residents of a neighboring village who were about to tap rubber in their garden while crossing the road at the site of the gas pipe explosion," said the village head as quoted by Antara.
