Man In North Sumatra Found Dead Covered In Blood, Nearby Is A Machete Wrapped In A Scabbard
MEDAN - A man was found dead covered in blood in his boarding room located on Jalan Merdeka Saribudolok, Silimakuta District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra.
From the information gathered, the man suspected of being the victim of the murder was named Iman Sidabutar. The incident, first known, Sunday, May 8, morning.
At that time, the victim was found in a prone position, and several parts of his body suffered injuries suspected of being slashed by a sharp object.
Not far from the victim, there was a machete lying on the ground but still wrapped in a wooden sheath.
Separately, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Simalungun Police, AKP Rahmat Aribowo, confirmed that the man was a murder victim.
"Yes, it's true (the murder victim)," said AKP Rahmat, confirmed by VOI, Monday, May 9.
AKP Rahmat said the police had also arrested the alleged perpetrator. However, he was not willing to provide a detailed explanation.
"We have already secured the suspected perpetrator based on evidence. But we are still investigating it," he said.
