School Holidays Extended, A Number Of Schools In East Jakarta Have No Activities

From the observations of journalists at the location, this school still seems deserted from students. Only a few education or administrative staff were seen.
Meanwhile, for teachers and students, no one has entered the school to carry out teaching and learning activities.
The head of SMAN 54 Jakarta, Isdiantoro said that his party was following the rules from the DKI Jakarta Education Office regarding the extension of the school holiday period which was previously set to enter today, Monday 9 May. Then changed to Thursday 12 May.
"Incidentally, there has been no learning process, because students and teachers enter on Thursday 12 (May). For today, May 9, education staff will enter," Isdiantoro told reporters, Monday 9 May.
Isdiantoro continued, teaching and learning activities will take place on Thursday, May 12, based on the rules set by the DKI Jakarta Education Office through Circular No. 13504/1.851 concerning End Activities for the 2021/2022 Academic Year.
The letter explained that the Eid 1443 Hijri holiday will take place from April 29 to May 11, 2022. Return to Thursday, May 12, 2022. The letter is addressed to school principals of all levels of education, both public and private.
"We will adjust it to the education calendar that has been set by the Education Office," he said.
Previously, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) extended school holidays in a number of areas until May 11, 2021. This was done to anticipate traffic jams in the return flow of Lebaran 2022. The extension of school holidays applies in DKI Jakarta, West Java and Banten.
