JAKARTA - The Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum), Bareskrim Polri, will soon determine a suspect in the fire case of the Attorney General's Office (AGO) building. Determination of the suspect will be decided through the results of the case title.
"Maybe in the near future we will appoint a suspect," said Director of Dittipidum, Brigadier General Ferdy Sambo, to reporters, Monday, October 12.
However, Ferdy has not explained in detail the timing of the case to determine the suspect. Polri continues to gather information and instructions from the examination of witnesses and experts.
"We will definitely start from the expert later, because he knows what causes open flames," he said.
Previously, investigators from the General Crime Directorate (Dittipidum), Bareskrim Polri, again took DNA samples from the elevator installed in the Main Building of the Attorney General's Office (AGO). This sampling is an effort to reveal fire cases.
"Examination of the elevator at the AGO's office is in the form of DNA and fingerprints on the elevator button on the inside with a team from PT Mitsubishi Electric as the party that made the elevator," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono to reporters, Monday, October 5. .
In addition, investigators also re-examined several experts. At least five experts were questioned on Monday, October 5.
"Examination of five experts, dentists from the Navy Hospital, fire experts, Ministry of Health experts, DNA experts and digital forensics experts from Puslabfor Police Headquarters," said Awi.
The Adhyaksa Corps building caught fire on Saturday, August 22 at 19.10 WIB. The fire lasted almost 12 hours.
