School Entry Schedule In Tangerang City Postponed To May 12

TANGERANG - The schedule for entering school after the 2022 Eid holiday or Eid 1443 Hijri in Tangerang has been postponed. From 9 May 2022 to 12 May 2022.

The decision to postpone the school entry schedule is stated in the Tangerang City Education Office Letter Number 421/1796-Sekretariat/2022 regarding the rectification of the first day of school entry for PAUD/TK/SD/SMP post-Eid 2022.

"It has been conveyed to all school principals and then socialized to all students and guardians of students," said Head of the Education Office Jamaluddin in Tangerang on Sunday, May 8.

He also said that the postponement of the initial school schedule applies to teachers and school principals. "Students, teachers and school principals enter on Thursday," he said, as reported by Antara.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy said the change in the initial schedule for school entry was a step to avoid traffic jams at the peak of the return flow on May 6-8, 2022.

The policy is carried out as a solution to overcome congestion and traffic congestion. This has also been conveyed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek) to local governments in DKI, West Java and Banten.
