It Turns Out That The Flats In Kampung Bayam Are Modern Class, Anies Explains The Concept Of Urban Agriculture
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, laid the first stone for the construction of farmer's flats (rusun) in Kampung Bayam on the northeast side of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
"Our promise to them is that when the settlements are rebuilt, so that so far they have worked as farmers, they can still carry out agricultural activities and the plans are prepared, the land is prepared," Anies told reporters in North Jakarta, Saturday, May 7.
Anies, whose 53rd birthday is on May 7, wants the rebuilt housing on land that was once a slum swamp, to improve the quality of life for the residents of Kampung Bayam.
Kampung Susun Bayam consists of three blocks/buildings with four floors dedicated to 135 families, plus three special housing units for the disabled, bringing a total of 138 residential units.
Each residential unit has an area of 36 square meters with a layout including two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, living room, balcony and a place to dry clothes.
In addition to a residential area of 11,844 square meters, there is also a conventional urban farming area (tani tapak) of 1,914 square meters which will be built there with a completion target of September 2022.
The design concept of Kampung Susun Bayam takes the Mezzanine concept, namely on one floor of the building there are two functional floors, with a green layout concept so that in residential areas there will also be hydroponic assistance.
It is estimated that the conventional planting area plus the hydroponic planting area, then the area of green land in Kampung Susun Bayam can reach 3,425 square meters.
Kampung Susun Bayam is also planned to have supporting facilities, such as community business units, cooperatives and warehouses, prayer rooms, ablution areas, kindergarten and library, multipurpose hall, public toilets, and disabled areas.
Anies hopes that the housing development for the residents of Kampung Bayam will run with the right financing, on time and with the right quality.
"Although the cost has increased very high (because it has the concept of urban agriculture), it is a consequence that we want to live in this place, we are grateful that they live in a place that can be productive," said Anies.
However, he did not mention the nominal costs incurred for the construction of the flats.
