Sean Gelael's Team Will Start From Second Place In The Second Series Of The FIA World Endurance Championship

JAKARTA - The WRT #31 team, which is reinforced by Sean Gelael, Robin Frinjs, and Rene Rast, will start from second place in the LMP2 class for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race. This is the second series of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

This position was achieved after Frinjs made an impressive appearance in the qualifying round, Friday, May 6 yesterday.

In this session, it is planned that Frinjs will only use one pair of tires, so that one flying lap is enough for the 10-minute session. He immediately made a record 2:04,290 to be in first position.

That position lasted long into the final seconds, before Alessio Rovera of the AF Corse team improved the record by just 0.044s better.

"Quite happy because we only used one pair of tires with WRT #41 and Prema #9. I made a little mistake at the last corner, but that's okay. P2 is still a good position," said Frinjs, in an official statement.

The 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchapms race will take place on Saturday, 7 May. The race is scheduled to start at 18.00 WIB.

WRT #31 is believed to be going "attack" in this race. This they had planned before the start of the race in Belgium.
