All COVID-19 Patients In South Bangka Recovered, Task Force: Don't Be Complacent

BANGKA - The South Bangka Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force (Satgas), Bangka Belitung Islands stated that all active patients exposed to the corona virus in the local area had been declared cured.

The spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force for South Bangka Regency, Supriyadi in Toboali, Saturday, May 7, explained that the number of recovered patients continues to show a fairly good graph.

Previously, in January-April 2022, there were 428 active patients, but now all patients have recovered.

Data on the development of COVID-19 in the local area recorded as many as 4,313 confirmed residents, with details of 4,153 declared cured and 160 declared dead.

The local government asked the public to get used to the adaptation of new habits in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the entry of the Omicron variant.

"Don't be complacent, don't be too anxious and the most important thing now is to stay alert and obey the COVID-19 health protocols," he said as reported by Antara. The COVID-19 vaccination program continues to be campaigned and implemented massively to remote villages.

"The role of the Puskesmas in each sub-district is further enhanced in order to serve the people who want to be vaccinated," he said.

Currently, the vaccination rate in South Bangka has reached above the national average and the local government continues to intensify the vaccination acceleration program.

"More vaccine outlets are opened, contributions and participation from various parties are expected to make the vaccination program a success," he said.
