Tornadoes Hit Settlements In Kapuas, Dozens Of Houses Were Heavily Damaged
KAPUAS - A cyclone hit dozens of houses in Handel Cempaka, East Anjir Serapat Village, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan, severely damaged.
"It happened Friday afternoon at around 15.00 WIB, resulting in thirteen houses being seriously damaged," said Kapuas Timur Police Chief Iptu Eko Sutrisno as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 6.
In addition to dozens of houses that were badly damaged, there were three victims in the village of Anjir Serapat Timur, Kapuas Timur District, who were injured by a falling building.
"There are three injured victims, who suffered head trauma and we have done medical treatment at the nearest health facility," he said.
Meanwhile, for the value of losses, his party is still collecting data due to natural disasters that occurred.
"We are still collecting data for losses, considering the number of houses affected and the magnitude of the losses caused," he explained.
Currently, his party is still focused on evacuating residents to temporary residences.
