Immigration Checks Turkish Citizens Stranded In North Waters Of Buleleng Bali, Coordination With Embassy In Jakarta
BULELENG - Immigration Class II TPI Singaraja examined a foreign citizen (WNA) from Turkey named Erhan Seckal (39) who was stranded in the northern waters of Bali.
"The person concerned was stranded on the beach of Kubuaddan Village, Kubuaddan District, Buleleng Regency, Bali.
For examination and medical treatment, the foreigner was taken to the Immigration Office Class II TPI Singaraja for questioning," said the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk, Friday, May 6.
Jamaruli said that currently his party is also coordinating with the Turkish Embassy in Jakarta regarding the condition of its citizens, and documents are being prepared as proof of their identity.
While waiting for the preparation of documents and recovery of his health, the foreigner is still under the supervision and protection of the Class II Immigration Office of TPI Singaraja.
Previously, when it was found, the foreigner was in a very weak and dehydrated condition and did not bring any documents.
"The person in question admitted that he fell from his ship which was departing from Australia for Vietnam. At the time of the incident, no other crew members saw him because his position was behind the ship," he said.
In his statement, Erhan Seckal admitted that he was floating in the middle of the sea and stranded on the north side of Segara Beach, Kubuaddan Village, precisely at the Serampang Rumpon belonging to a resident of Banjar Dinas Kubuanyar, Kubuaddan Village, Kubuaddan District, Buleleng Regency.
Meanwhile, from the testimony of witness Gede Budiasa, a fisherman in Kubuaddan Village, Buleleng Regency, at 02.00 WITA, he was going to sea to his rumpon serampang with a journey of approximately 4 hours from Segara Beach Kubuaddan to the north.
On his way through several FADs belonging to residents, suddenly someone asked for help by waving from above the FADs.
After being approached, it turned out that there was a foreigner who was already weak and dehydrated. Then, the foreigner from Turkey was immediately evacuated to the beach and subsequently reported the incident to the Kubuaddan Police for further treatment.
