5 Reasons Why The Sound Of Magic Is A Must Watch!

JAKARTA - Netflix has released the series The Sound of Magic which airs starting today, Friday, May 6. This series tells of the friendship between a mysterious magician and two schoolgirls who are experiencing difficulties in life.

Through a virtual press conference, the three main actors: Ji Chang Wook, Choi Sung Eun, and Hwang In Yeop shared the production process. They also explained why Kim Sung Youn's The Sound of Magic series is a must watch. Listen here!

“I have to remember the innocence of childhood that has been lost with age, as well as the sincerity of a dream I once had as a child. In my opinion, the process of recalling is the most important part of portraying the character Ri-eul," said Ji Chang Wook.

It was also agreed by Choi Sung Eun as Yoon Ah Yi who revealed the story of becoming an adult is something that everyone feels.

“While acting, I thought about whether viewers could feel connected to Yoon Ah-yi. I can imagine a new side of me being revealed when working with director Kim Sung-youn,” explained Choi Sung Eun.

Ji Chang Wook incarnated as a mysterious magician who loves to sing, also with Choi Sung Eun as Yoon Ah Yi and Hwang In Yeob as Na Il Deung. With their acting skills, The Sound of Magic is sure to be an interesting spectacle.

The Sound of Magic presents the musical side with a beautiful mix of music and choreography. Park Sung Il as a well-known music director accompanied the story as well as songs written by Kim Eana and choreographer Hong Sejeong.

Ji Chang Wook, Choi Sung Eun, and Hwang In Yeob also provided voices for songs in the series such as Magic in You and My Dream Family.

For Ji Chang Wook, The Sound of Magic was a challenge that felt like a gift. “I am happy to be a part of this project,” he said.

"This is a new type of challenge faced by various parties involved, but it left a lot of happy memories for me," added Hwang In Yeob.

Kim Sung Youn as the director hopes that The Sound of Magic story can arouse the desire to dream and achieve the audience's dreams.

“You will be reminded of your innocence and childhood dreams that you may have lost when you grew up,” said Ji Chang-wook.

"This series will give courage and hope for you to dream again," answered Choi Sung Eun.
