The Manuscript Of The Job Creation Law Has Not Reached Jokowi, Secretary General Of The DPR: Still Being Finalized First
JAKARTA - DPR Secretary General Indra Iskandar said that the text of the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Law has not yet been sent to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). According to him, the DPR still has seven working days to tidy up the manuscript before it is finally sent to the president.
"Not yet (sent, red). So what is called seven days is seven working days. So, the seven working days are Wednesday, not Saturday and Sunday. It is mentioned in the Law that it is seven working days," said Indra when contacted by reporters on Monday. , October 12th.
The plan, this manuscript will be finalized soon. "This afternoon we still want to be finalized first. That was the last one discussed until yesterday," he said.
Indra said that the manuscripts to be sent will amount to 1,035 pages or an increase of 103 pages from the draft used when the law was passed on Monday, October 5. Responding to the addition of the page, he emphasized that there was no addition of any substance in the manuscript.
According to Indra, the additional pages were only due to the improvement of the writing format. "After tidying the spacing, the editorial, all kinds. Yesterday the spaces were not even, the letters were all kinds. So now it's been tidied up," he said.
"It's just a typo and format. The format is tidied up so the spaces will push up all the pages," he added.
Previously, a member of the DPR from the Democrat Party, Didi Irawadi Syamsuddin, revealed a number of irregularities that occurred during the Plenary Session of the Ratification of the Job Creation Bill. Among them, not a single draft of the bill was distributed during the trial until the sudden trial.
"I have been a member of the DPR RI for three terms. This is the first time I have an unexpected experience. The DPR leadership has passed a bill that is deviant and has a procedural defect. Not a single draft of the draft law related to Ciptaker was distributed at the plenary session on October 5, 2020," he said. Didi.
According to him, before passing the bill or before tapping the hammer, all DPR members should have been able to read the draft of the Job Creation Bill. Moreover, the session was the DPR's highest meeting forum.
"So the question is, what bill was hammered in yesterday, October 5, 2020?" he said.
According to him, it is obligatory for all those present to be given the draft of the bill. Not only those who are physically present, those who are virtual are also entitled to get the script.
"As a comparison, let alone the very important Ciptaker Bill. The materials for the committee and agency level meetings we can get a few days beforehand," said Didi.
