The Peak Of Lebaran Backflow, Motorbike Travelers Are Not Yet Crowded On The Kalimalang-Jakarta Route
JAKARTA - The security post officer (Pospam) Sumber Artha Ipda Sutarto said the Kalimalang Highway route was still not full of backflows for Eid 2022.
The volume of motorcyclists returning from going home is still quiet since D+2 Eid on Thursday 5 May until noon today.
"Since last night there hasn't been a surge in the backflow of two wheels, until this afternoon there hasn't been any," said Ipda Sutarto in Jakarta, Friday, May 6.
Sutarto said that the return of two-wheeled vehicles could be identified from the driver and passengers who carried a lot of luggage on the motorbike. Sutarto said traffic monitoring from Pospam Sumber Artha had not yet seen a backflow of two-wheeled vehicles.
"Homecomers, the return flow is usually at night. Maybe later tonight," said Sutarto, as quoted by Antara.
Jalan Raya Kalimalang is a route that is often used by travelers with two-wheeled vehicles to go to their hometowns in West Java or Central Java via the Pantura route.
Sutarto said previously that the peak flow of two-wheeled vehicles occurred on D-4 and D-3 Lebaran which crowded Jalan Raya Kalimalang, even causing traffic jams. However, until now, continued Sutarto, there has not been such a congested traffic condition during the Lebaran return period.
Sutarto also mentioned that there is a possibility that travelers with motorbikes will not return to Jakarta at the same time as the homecoming period, or use routes other than Jalan Raya Kalimalang.
