Ahead Of The National Team Against Vietnam, Marc Klok Complains About Field Conditions: Very Bad
JAKARTA - A naturalized midfielder from the Netherlands, Marc Klok is one of the Garuda squad players brought by Shin Tae-yong to face Vietnam at the 2021 SEA Games Vietnam.
Ahead of the match on Friday, May 6, Klok complained about the training field facilities provided for the national team.
The Persib Bandung player said the field provided was far from feasible. He even said the condition of the training ground was very bad. Whereas
the training ground for the hosts is known to be of an excellent standard.
“I think the facilities provided to us are either not good or very bad. I don't understand why Vietnam has such a good pitch and Indonesia has such a bad pitch for practice. I think the organizers should replace it," Klok said, quoted by Zing.
Furthermore, Klok also compared that the field when they were practicing in Vietnam was actually no better than the fields in Indonesia. Where this situation can affect the safety of the players.
"It's very bad (the field condition). In Indonesia it's better, so Vietnam must provide a good field for preparation because it is very risky if this is the case," Klok continued.
Saddil Ramdani had previously criticized the inadequate field. The Indonesian U-23 national team winger stated that the training field provided by the committee was hollow and sandy.
Just like Saddil, Klok was still eager to look at the SEA Games despite having to train on a bad field.
"There is no difficulty, there is only joy and passion to win and win titles," said the Persib player.
The Indonesian U-23 National Team match against Vietnam will take place at the Viet Tri Stadium on Friday 6 May. The match will kick off at 19:00 WIB.
The U-23 Indonesian national team itself is in Group A. Apart from the U-23 and Vietnam national teams, this group is also inhabited by Myanmar, the Philippines, and Timor Leste.
