Increasing Inclusiveness Of Financial Services And Couriers, Bank Mandiri And Pos Indonesia Inaugurate Cross Agency Cooperation

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk has agreed to cooperate with Pos Indonesia to boost the Indonesian economy, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This is realized through the inauguration of a cross-agency business cooperation model between Mandiri Agen which is a business partner of Bank Mandiri and the Postal Agent, a business partner of Pos Indonesia, as an effort to increase the inclusiveness of financial services and courier services.

The inauguration of this cross agency collaboration was marked by the signing of a cooperation charter by SEVP Micro & Consumer Finance of Bank Mandiri, Josephus K. Triprakoso and Director of Courier & Logistics Business of Pos Indonesia, Siti Choiriana in Yogyakarta, Thursday 5 May.

He is optimistic that this synergy can provide added value and convenience for business partners of Bank Mandiri and Pos Indonesia to develop their business. Of course, this can increase the income of agents and help develop their businesses,” he said.

The collaboration between the two SOEs is in the form of utilizing each agent's network to provide financial services and inclusive courier services. Then collaboration to improve the operational convenience of agents and consumers in accessing financial services and courier services as well as product package collaboration (product bundling) in the context of community empowerment, especially MSMEs.

Director of Courier and Logistics Business of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Siti Choiriana said the collaboration between Pos Indonesia and Bank Mandiri was in line with the spirit of synergy between SOEs currently being built by the government, especially in providing a greater impact on the national economy.

This is also in line with the business transformation that is being carried out by PT Pos Indonesia. According to the company, this collaboration is concrete evidence of Pos Indonesia's support for MSME players, in an effort to increase and equalize public access to financial and courier service products.
