PLN also noted that there was an increasing trend in the use of electric vehicles in recent years.
"PT PLN (Persero) is ready to serve travelers, especially those using electric vehicles (EVs) because PLN has prepared all public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) in rest areas along the Trans Java toll road from Cikampek to Madiun," he said in a statement to the media, Thursday, May 5.
He added, not only preparing a reliable electricity supply for people at home, PLN also ensures that all electrical infrastructure for electric vehicles runs optimally in facilitating people who will go home this year.
Diah also detailed that the eight points were in Rest Area KM 519 A (Solo Ngawi), Rest Area KM 519 B (Ngawi Solo), Rest Area KM 389 B (Batang - Semarang), Rest Area KM 379 A (Semarang - Batang). , Rest Area KM 626 B (Kertosono, Madiun), Rest Area KM 207 A (Palikanci, Cirebon), Rest Area 208 B (Palikanci) and Rest Area KM 6 (Jakarta -Cikampek).
Not only in the rest area, said Diah, travelers can also use the SPKLU facilities available at PLN. PLN currently operates more than 126 SPKLU spread across 97 locations in 48 cities throughout Indonesia.
"If travelers also want to travel in transit cities around the Trans Java Toll Road, EV travelers can take advantage of the SPKLU available at the PLN unit office," said Diah.
Diah explained that this year, the government is targeting 580 SPKLUs to operate. Currently, PLN is actively boosting the construction of this SPKLU. The hope is that at the next Eid moment, it will increase the enthusiasm of EV owners to go back to their hometowns by increasing EV facilities in public spaces.
