Anticipating Lebaran Backflow: PT KAI Operates Additional Trains For Semarang-Bandung Department

JAKARTA - PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang operates one additional train (KA) to serve return passengers for Lebaran with the aim of Semarang-Bandung.

"The Ciremai train from Semarang Tawang to Bandung will operate from May 4 to 9, 2022," said PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Public Relations Manager Krisbiyantoro in a press release in Semarang, Tuesday.

According to him, the operation of the additional train for the Semarang-Bandung connection is to support the Harina train, whose passenger occupancy reaches 100 percent for departures from 4 to 9 May.

He said the public's interest in traveling by train to Bandung on the return flow of Lebaran was quite high.

Ciremai train is a business and executive class train with a seating capacity of 420 seats.

The Ciremai train departs from Semarang at 07.15 WIB, while from Bandung it will depart at 16.25 WIB.

As for the requirements for long-distance train travel, prospective passengers are required to have received the third dose of vaccine.

Meanwhile, prospective train passengers who have not received the third dose of vaccine are required to bring a negative certificate of antigen test.
