Rangnick Hopes Manchester United Can Get More Power Against Brentford

JAKARTA - Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick hopes his team will get additional energy when they face Brentford in the 35th week of the Premier League at Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, Tuesday morning WIB.

Quoted from the club's official website, Monday, May 2, Rangnick said Brazilian midfielder Fred could have been used against Brentford, but it was different for Jadon Sancho.

"I hope so but now I don't know. I hope Fred can play for the Brentford match," said Rangnick.

"As you can see, Jadon (Sancho) will most likely be out until the end of the season due to his tonsillitis, so he will most likely not play against Brentford," Rangnick continued.

Apart from Fred and Sancho, Rangnick said Edinson Cavani, who has been out of action since the international break last March, could not confirm whether he would be available or not.

The German coach continued to explain, Harry Maguire and Jesse Lingard will certainly miss the match against Brentford for personal reasons.

"Edinson Cavani was supposed to be back in training tomorrow (Friday) but again, the question is, (given he's) been missing for the last four or five weeks, long enough, is he really a player who can then play? against Brentford? starting but at least from the bench," explained Rangnick.

"Apart from that, we will have to wait and see. Harry Maguire, Jesse (Lingard) are out for personal and family reasons. I hope some of those players will be back on Monday."

In this match, Manchester United are trying to secure three points to keep their hopes of ending the season in the top four of the Premier League standings.

Currently, Manchester United is in 6th position in the Premier League standings with 55 points from 35 matches, eight points adrift of Arsenal in fourth place.
