Receives Eid Remission, Ridho Rhoma Is Paroled From Cipinag Prison
JAKARTA - Singer Ridho Rhoma is on parole after serving a 16-month sentence in Cipinang Class I Prison, East Jakarta.
Head of Cipinang Class I Prison, Tony Nainggolan said, Ridho received Eid remission for one month. Ridho was supposed to be out on May 5, 2022.
"After the remission, which was originally on May 5, 2022, after the remission decree was issued, we proposed changes and it turned out that today he was immediately executed for parole," said Tony Nainggolan as quoted by Antara, Monday, May 2.
Ridho Rhoma left Cipinang Class I Prison at around 15.20 WIB. With a black t-shirt and a cap, Ridho immediately approached the reporters who had been waiting.
"Thank you friends for the 'support'. Thank God, on this Eid, I get good news because I can come back with my family, gather," said Ridho.
No family or relatives were seen picking up when Ridho was free. Ridho admitted that his family was still on their way to pick him up.
Even though he has been released, Ridho is still obliged to report to the Class II Correctional Center (Bapas) in Bogor, West Java.
"Furthermore, the East Jakarta Fathers will hand over Mas Ridho to the Bogor Fathers in accordance with the nearest domicile," said Tony.
Previously, Ridho Rhoma was arrested by the police for narcotics abuse and possession cases on February 4, 2021. For his actions, Ridho was sentenced to two years in prison by the North Jakarta District Court.
