Trump Kekeh Campaign, Even Though 10 US States Record Increased Records Of COVID-19 Cases

JAKARTA - New positive cases of COVID-19 in the United States (US) continue to increase. Ten of the 50 states of the United States (US) have even reported an increase in positive cases of the corona virus.

Record increases in COVID-19 cases were reported in the Midwestern states of Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio. Wisconsin and Illinois recorded more than 3,000 new cases for two consecutive days.

According to a Reuters report, new cases of the coronavirus were not seen before in the coming spring. Where the number of new cases of COVID-19 in the US reached more than 58,000 infections

Meanwhile, the western states of Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming also reported their biggest one-day spikes in COVID-19 cases, as happened in Oklahoma and West Virginia.

Amid a resurgence of cases across the country, President Donald Trump, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, spoke to his supporters from the White House balcony on Saturday, as a prelude to restarting his election campaign. He is scheduled to travel to Florida on Monday.

Trump and his administration have faced criticism for their handling of the pandemic that has claimed more than 213,000 lives in the country, as well as for its lax approach to wearing masks and social distancing in the White House.

Although the national death toll continues to decline, the US has lost an average of 700 lives every day. Health experts warn that the death rate is a lagging indicator and usually increases, as positive cases rise.
