5 Kg Of Rice From Puan Maharani For 3,000 Residents In Medan, North Sumatra, Distributed Directly By Yasonna Laoly

MEDAN - Head of the Legal, Human Rights (HAM) and Legislation Division of the PDI-P, Yasonna H Laoly, distributed rice aid to residents of Medan City, North Sumatra (North Sumatra). This rice came from the chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani.

"This is rice aid from Ms. Puan that we distribute to help the community, to help mothers and their families," Yasonna said in a statement in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, May 1.

The rice aid was distributed to residents in 21 sub-districts in Medan City. Yasonna emphasized that the PDI-P is always present in the community to absorb aspirations and fight for pro-people policies.

He said the COVID-19 pandemic taught us to care more for others, strengthen solidarity and national mutual cooperation.

"Especially at this time of the month of Ramadan and approaching Eid, so we want to help each other and lighten each other's burdens. Hopefully this will be happiness for us to win together," he said.

The Minister of Law and Human Rights said the PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri instructed party cadres to come down to meet the community, absorb aspirations, and provide assistance.

According to him, this is done so that the PDI-P will always move with the people solidly.

The distribution of rice was carried out simultaneously in 21 sub-districts in Medan City. There were around 3,000 residents and PDI-P cadres at the branch level as well as PAC, each of whom received five kilograms of rice.
