AIA Launches Sharia-Based Insurance With Waqf Features On The Gojek Application
JAKARTA - PT AIA Financial (AIA) launched AIA Waqf Assurance, which is a Sharia-based insurance product with waqf benefits that is present on the Gojek application for the first time.
AIA Chief Marketing Officer, Kathryn Monika Parapak said, products that can be purchased on the Gojek application through the GoSure feature starting April 18 offer benefits in the form of insurance compensation of Rp. 10 million, of which 10 percent of the value will be allocated for waqf distributed through the Dompet institution. poor.
While the remaining 90 percent is allocated for death benefits with 4 choices of premiums and different coverage periods, namely; IDR 20,000 for 1 month; IDR 29,000 for 3 months; IDR 42,000 for 6 months, and IDR 66,000 for 12 months of coverage.
"We offer this AIA Waqf Assurance product for all people, especially people of productive age with easy transactions, affordable prices, as well as the advantages of waqf benefits in it," he said in a written statement, Sunday 1 May.
Meanwhile, GoPay's Chief Marketing Officer, Fibriyani Elastria, said that with the reach of GoPay users spread almost throughout Indonesia, he hopes that the benefits created by this product can also be further disseminated.

Based on data from the 2021 National Waqf Index published by the Indonesian Waqf Agency, the potential for cash and land waqf in Indonesia reaches IDR 2000 trillion per year.
