Bogor Regent Ade Yasin Becomes A Corruption Suspect, PPP Will Discuss The Position Of West Java DPW Chair
BOGOR - The Central Executive Board of the United Development Party (DPP PPP) will hold deliberations to discuss the position of West Java PPP DPW Chairman Ade Yasin, after the KPK has named him a suspect.
"The PPP DPP has not yet determined the time, but will discuss it," said PPP DPP chairman Andi Surya Wijaya, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 30.
The PPP DPP will discuss the position of the West Java PPP DPW Chair after Ade Yasin was named by the KPK on Thursday (28/4) as a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the audit of financial statements at the Bogor Regency Government.
Andi Surya explained that the PPP DPP until now has not discussed the status of the West Java PPP DPW chairman, because it is still waiting for the development of the handling of the case by the KPK.
According to him, the attitude of the PPP DPP in principle is to respect the ongoing legal process based on the presumption of innocence until a final legal decision is made.
"Because in this case, the suspect is not only Ade Yasin but there are seven other suspects," he said.
However, with the consideration that the wheels of party organization must continue to run, the PPP DPP will later discuss it.
For information, Ade Yasin was re-elected as Chair of the West Java PPP DPW in the VIII PPP Regional Conference (Muswil) of West Java Province in Cianjur Regency, Monday (29/3/2021).
Ade Yasin, who holds the position as Bogor Regent, was elected by acclamation to lead the West Java PPP DPW for the 2021-2026 period.
"We need people who work for the party, later we will prepare a team that really does electoral work. In this party there is no longer a structural arrangement like the composition of the cabinet, so that in 2024 we will get a lot of seats," said Ade Yasin in his written statement.
Ade Yasin said that after the VIII Muswil, West Java PPP will immediately carry out a branch meeting (Muscab) which is planned to be held in 2021.
"There are 27 cities/regencies that will carry out Muscab, and I hope that the filling of the branch heads will also be carried out like this, peaceful, friendly, mutually agreed or acclamation," said Ade Yasin.
"No one loses or wins. This must be an example. From the acclamation congress, the acclamation DPW, downwards can also be like that," he added.
