Many Passengers Wait For Buses, Anies Baswedan Asks Kalideres Terminal To Collaborate With The Ministry Of Transportation
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan asked the terminal to collaborate with related parties to provide the best service for travelers.
Anies made this statement during an inspection at the Kalideres Terminal, West Jakarta, Friday, April 29.
"Collaboration was carried out with the Ministry of Transportation to prepare relief buses. Because the return buses have not yet arrived, so that they can still be transported," explained Anies.
The request was made because while monitoring the condition of the Kalideres terminal, Anies saw many passengers waiting for the bus to come back. In fact, the bus will take a long time because the traffic flow on the toll road is quite congested.
"Incidentally, it is currently crowded and there are many homecomers waiting at the terminal, because the buses have not yet returned to Jakarta. Hopefully, all (the buses) will return tonight," he said.
On the other hand, Anies said the facilities provided by the terminal were quite good. However, it is even better to maintain and improve it.
"This afternoon we are at the Kalideres Terminal seeing the readiness to facilitate residents who are going home. So far we have monitored it quite well, so the available fleet and infrastructure are sufficient to accommodate all of them (homecomers)," said Anies.
To note, Eid 2022 the number of homecomers tends to increase. Then, the capacity of Kalideres Terminal is quite high. If you refer to the time before the pandemic, it could reach up to 7,000 passengers per day. Currently the figure is still around 2,000.
