Departing 20 Buses For The Free Homecoming Program Of The Golkar Party, Airlangga: Be Careful, And Take Care Of Prokes
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto officially released the free homecoming bus trip program from the Golkar party, Friday, April 29. A total of 20 buses carrying 880 homecomers were dispatched to various areas to the east of Java and Sumatra.
In his message, Airlangga asked travelers to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols. He reminded, do not let the concession policy given by the government to go home actually create a new wave of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia.
"I ask all the people who are going home to maintain health procedures, so that there is no new wave of COVID-19. I wish you good luck, and be careful to arrive safely at your destination," said Airlangga when releasing the departure of the homecomers at the Golkar Party's DPP Office, Jakarta, Friday, April 29.
The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs said that based on government data, it is estimated that the number of homecomers this year will reach 85.5 million. He said there was great potential from the homecoming activity to boost the national economy.
"If each homecomer spends a minimum of Rp. 1.5 million, then the homecoming economy is already Rp. 175 trillion. The homecoming economy has increased compared to last year by around 15 to 20 percent," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga. The chairman of the COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery Committee (KPCPEN) also predicts that if Indonesia can pass the Eid 1443 Hijri homecoming activity safely without creating a new wave. Covid-19 transmission, Indonesia will improve.
However, he reminded the public to pay attention to the rules from the government regarding the implementation of homecoming and Eid prayer activities as well as halal bihalal.
"If we are safe after going home, God willing, the economy will also be safe. And if the economy is safe, of course people can work and earn even better incomes," said Airlangga.
