At the age of 12, she has been trusted to play the main characters including her latest film, Kuntilanak 3. Here, she plays Dinda, a woman who has strength but often gets bullied.
This film tells the story of Dinda (Nicole Rossi) who is considered strange by the village children because of her strength, accidentally injuring Panji (Adlu Fahrezy) and Ambar (Ciara Brosnan). Therefore, Dinda asks Aunt Dona (Nena Rosier) to register her at the Mata Hati School, so that she can learn to control the power she has.
At that school, Dinda immediately has friends named Dennis (Farras Fatik) and Uchie (Clarice Cutie). However, Dinda's brothers, Miko (Ali Fikry) and Kresna (Andryan Bima) investigate the school and find strange things, such as many students missing.
On the other hand, Baskara (Wafda Saifan), as the school principal, feels that Dinda's presence brings its own aura. Baskara reports this to the school's founder, Eyang Sukma (Sara Wijayanto), who lives in a hidden place where the students cannot see him.
“Dinda is more of a mystery and she is looking for who she really is. He also has a lot of secrets that he doesn't know," Nicole Rossi told VOI about her new character.
According to him, Dinda in this film is very challenging. One of them is how he has to dive into his characters who have supernatural characters like children with super powers in the X-Men movies. When acting, of course there are no supernatural effects, they are all made with visual effects, after the images are recorded.
“This makes me fun, really, and therein lies the challenge, how can we really live it. Dinda is a tough person, but she is also loving. He loves his siblings very much," said Nicole.
The woman who was born on March 4 also felt a challenge when filming in the midst of a pandemic by maintaining protocol. In addition, in the film Kuntilanak 3, he met a number of senior actresses such as Sara Wijayanto, Nafa Urbach, Amink, and Wafda Saifan.
“The challenge is that I have to try to absorb Dinda's role and I get a lot of help from other players. Behind the scenes, we often talk and play TikTok together, so the chemistry helps me," explained Nicole Rossi.
Balancing Acting and School
As one of the young actresses, Nicole made the shooting location a place to find new friends. The horror film Kuntilanak 3 did not make Nicole Rossi a coward.
"We both read and we discuss where the place is. The place is haunted, so we also get our acting because the shooting location is really scary," he said.
“The location is at Fort Van Den Bosch in Ngawi. We often see many spirits and we often talk about ghost stories. And Sis Sara (Wijayanto) who became Grandmother Sukma, there are more ghosts than the crew," added Nicole.
Nicole Rossi also found something interesting when she met the Kuntilanak 3 players.
"I saw the Kuntilanak 3 cast whose unique way of reading scripts was, the way they read it was different and actually I learned a lot," he explained.
Regarding the role, Nicole Rossi has the dream character she wants. He wants to get a role in a Disney musical and so on.
Balancing acting and school, Nicole Rossi is grateful that she has an online school. Even so, sometimes he finds it difficult because he has other activities besides these two things.
“It's more about managing the schedule because apart from school, there are other activities such as ballet, singing. But if the time is tight, I usually reschedule," said Nicole Rossi.
"I think education from schools is important. All (lessons) that I mentioned are very useful because they can be used for my career, such as singing, singing is the same as music, arts is shooting, English is more like scripting," he said.
Luckily, Nicole has the support of her family to carry out her career and education. Besides that she wants to use her acting career as a way to spread good things.
“Hopefully I can give everyone positive vibes and can use my career to spread positivity and spread awareness about other things. I want to use my career for good," concluded Nicole Rossi.
